A revision of the genera Anilaroides Théry, 1934, stat. nov. and Tetragonoschema Thomson, 1857 (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Buprestinae: Anthaxiini) Author Bílý, Svatopluk text Zootaxa 2012 2012-10-18 3521 1 38 journal article 10.11646/zootaxa.3521.1.1 a6ca93a5-8e09-4c68-84be-964ea9a8da2f 1175-5326 211105 9E2E5303-FBEA-44F7-92D4-05B2E608EB25 Tetragonoschema ( Tetragonoschema ) fossicolle Kerremans, 1900 ( Figs. 12 , 47 , 79 ) Tetragonoschema fossicollis Kerremans, 1900: 297 . Type locality: Brazil , Prov. Goyaz, Jatahy. Tetragonoschema fossicollis : Kerremans, 1903: 168 (catalogue); Obenberger, 1922: 72 ( fossicolle , key); 1930: 559 ( fossicolle , catalogue); Blackwelder, 1944: 315 (checklist); Théry, 1944: 16 (catalogue). Tetragonoschema pujoli Théry, 1944: 20 , syn. nov. . Type locality: Brazil . Prov. Goyaz, Jatahy. Tetragonoschema pujoli : Bellamy, 2008: 1520 (catalogue). Type specimens studied. T. fossicolle (number of syntypes unknown), lectotype ( Fig. 12 ), here designated (male, BMNH ): “ Holotype [p, rounded, red-framed] // [ Brazil , Prov. Goyaz] Jatahy, Donckier [h] // Kerremans 1903 –59 [p] // fossicollis Kerr. Type [h]” ; T. pujoli , holotype ( Fig. 13 ) by monotypy ( female , MNHN ): “Museum Paris, Bresil [p], Prov.[ince] de Goyaz , Jatahy , 1903, H. Donckier [h] // Jatahy, Goyaz [p] // Pujoli Théry [h] Type [p]”. Further specimens studied. BRAZIL . GOYAS: Jatahy ( 1 male , ISNB ). Diagnosis. Very small, length: 3.1–3.5 mm , short, black with red humeral patches; elytra nearly as long as wide, 1.10 times as long as wide; antennae very short, barely reaching anterior third of lateral pronotal margins when laid alongside the pronotum; anterior pronotal margin with large medial lobe; male metatibiae slightly curved and enlarged posteriorly; aedeagus almost spindle-shaped, parameres without preapical spines ( Fig. 79 ). Since the number of syntypes of T. fossicolle is unknown I hereby designate the male from BMNH as the lectotype of Tetragonoschema fossicollis . After having studied the lectotype of T . ( T .) fossicolle and holotype of T . ( T .) pujoli I have failed to find any substantial differences and I conclude that they are conspecific, T . ( T .) pujoli being a younger synonym of T . ( T .) fossicolle . Bionomy. Unknown. Sexual dimorphism. No difference between male and female was observed except for the slightly curved and enlarged male metatibiae. Distribution. Brazil (prov. Goyaz). Note. According to the description ( Kerremans, 1900 ) the pronotum bears a small, rounded, medial depression. After having studied Kerremans syntype (hereby designated as the lectotype ) I found that the depression is somewhat eccentric and irregular and most probably it is a secondary injury. Thery´s holotype of T. pujoli ( Fig. 13 ) has no sign of any pronotal depression.
