Junior synonym of Empis ( Anacrostichus ) longipennis Loew, 1868 . Type locality: Russia , Kamchatka . Notes on the type series. Frey described this species after both sexes. He noted the following material: “1 Pärchen, Kamtchatka ”. Only one syntype was found in NHRS . Type material examined. LECTOTYPE (here designated in order to fix identity of the species), ♂ ( Fig. 10 ), labelled ( Fig. 11 ): “ Kamtschatka / Malaise ”; “2087”; “Spec. typ.”; “ Empis / vicaria n. sp. [hand-written by Frey ]/ R . Frey det.”; “ Lectotypus / Empis / vicaria Frey, 1935 / design. Shamshev, 2020” ( NHRS ). Remarks. Shamshev (2016) has already commented on the synonymy of E . vicaria with E . longipennis Loew.
