Catalogue Casolari & Casolari Moreno. Chrysis modica , 27, 53, 21, 1 (box 51). Remarks. Dahlbom (1854) described Chrysis modica based on three specimens collected in Guinea (ZMUC), Cape of Good Hope ( Spinola's collection) and Port Natal (NHRS). Bohart (in Kimsey and Bohart 1991 : 437) selected the latter as lectotype. It belongs to the Chrysis smaragdula group. Current status. Chrysis mediocris Dahlbom, 1845 (synonymised by Kimsey and Bohart 1991 : 437).
