This species is recognized by the yellow-margined abdominal tergites, the large group of peglike setae, and the rounded basal lobe. Description. Body length: 2.34–2.41 mm . Head: Frons dark brown, second row of setae slightly concave. Flagellomere 1 rounded-oval, brown, lighter mediobasally. Palpus of normal size, orange. Thorax: Scutum brown. Scutellum dark brown, with setae broken. Pleuron with proepisternum and dorsum of anepisternum dark brown, rest of pleuron whitish-yellow. Mean costal length 0.47 wing length, range 0.43–0.51. Halter yellow. Legs yellowish-brown. Forecoxa in lateral view yellow. Foretibia with 4 dorsal setae. Foretarsomeres slender, elongate. Midcoxa light brown. Hind coxa yellow. Hind coxal lobe light brown, short, round. Posterior face of hind femur with large, elongate basal group of peglike setae on basally rounded basal lobe; concavity small, with narrow basal and distal white membranous areas ( Figs 173–174 ). Abdomen: Abdominal tergite 1 brown, tergites 2–6 dark brown, with yellow anterior and posterior margins. Venter of abdomen yellow, with few setae, larger on posterior margin of segment 5. Male terminalia with epandrium yellowishbrown, hypandrium brown, and cercus yellow. Distribution. Known from a single site in French Guiana . Derivation of specific epithet. From Latin for “rounded lobe”, referring to the basal lobe of the hind femur. Holotype . , FRENCH GUIANA : Regina: Kaw Mt, Patawa , 4.55°N , 52.17°W , i.2006 , J. Cerda , Malaise traps (2) [ LACM ENT 234137 ] ( LACM ). Paratype . 1♂ , same data as holotype ( LACM ) .
