Collection and habitat data.
In the United States, this species has been collected from under bark, under a brush pile, and by sifting humus (
Campbell 1976
). The New Brunswick specimens were collected from the inside of well-rotted, fungus-covered logs and from polypore fungi on dead, standing
Populus
sp. This species was found in an old-growth eastern white cedar (
Thuja occidentalis
L.) swamp and in mature to old mixed forests. Adults were collected during June and August.
