Description – female
Colour
. Head yellow except two pale transverse brown bands on occiput. Antenna yellow, F4–F6 slightly darker. Mesosoma and gaster pale yellow except the following: central pronotum, anterior mid lobe of mesoscutum, axillae, mesoscutal and mesoscutal–scutellar sutures, mesopleurae and petiole brown. T4–T7 of gaster largely infuscate brown, remainder of gaster pale. Fore wings hyaline, very lightly infuscated below marginal vein. Remainder of body, including legs, pale yellow.
Morphology
. Stemmaticum with rugose-reticulate surface sculpture (
Figure 2A
). Antennal formula 1-1-3-3 (
Figure 2B
). Pedicel very slightly longer than F1. F1 1.6 times as long as its maximum width, slightly shorter than F2 and F3. Flagellum with the following numbers of longitudinal sensilla: F1: 2, F2: 2, F3: 2, F4: 3, F5: 4, F6: 3. Clypeus clearly bidentate, the denticles close to the centre of the clypeus. Mid-lobe of mesoscutum with eight setae (
Figure 2C
). Side lobes each with two setae. Scutellar sensilla distantly placed. Distance between anterior pair of scutellar setae equal to that between posterior pair. Fore wing (
Figure 2F
) 2.6 times as long as width of disc. Marginal fringe 0.26 times as long as width of disc. Submarginal vein with two setae, marginal vein anteriorly with five setae. Basal cell with five or six setae. Tarsal formula 5-5-5. Apical spur of mid tibia 0.8 times as long as corresponding basitarsus. Tergites laterally with the following numbers of setae: T1: 0, T2: 1, T3: 1, T4: 1, T5: 2, T6: 3, T7 4. Ovipositor equal in length to mid-tibia. Third valvula 0.29 times as long as second valvifer.

Remarks
Eucarsia lineolata
appears to be close to
E. lasallei
Huang and Polaszek
described from
Fujian
, but differs from it in having T7 brown (pale in
E. lasallei
) and the midlobe of the mesoscutum with eight setae (four in
E. lasallei
).
