Holotype : USNM 196799. Type locality: Bangkok market, caught in Gulf of Thailand . Local synonymy: White et al. , 2018 : 176, figs (PNG). PNG voucher material: None. Remarks: Based on a dried jaw in the KFRS collection which appears to be conspecific with this species. Other specimens required from PNG to further validate. Also known from Australia based on a single specimen caught in the Gulf of Carpentaria (Last & Stevens, 2009).
