Limnophora paraleptopus
Zielke, 1971a
: 289
.
Holotype male in NMSA (not seen).
Diagnosis.
Scutum shining dark brown, the area before and behind scutellar suture grey pollinose; haltere yellow; legs brown; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; katepisternals 1+2; mid femur with 2 posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with 3 posterior setae; hind tibia with 1 anterodorsal and 1 anteroventral on middle third.
Notes.
Zielke (l.c.) states that this species resembles
L. leptopus
(junior synonym of
L. stragula
), but it does not run to couplet 13 and to
L. leptopus
in Emden’s (1951) key since it has 1+2 katepisternal setae whereas
L. leptopus
has katepisternals 1+1. Only one female known.
