Diagnosis.
Prothorax with lateral tubercles in the posterior third; pronotum without tubercles; elytra without centrobasal crest or carina; basal metatarsomere slightly longer than next two together. Number of species currently included: 10.
Remark.
There is no difference between
Pentheochaetes
and
Trichonyssodrys
. The width of the mesoventral process is variable, from two-thirds to half the width of a mesocoxa.
Pentheochaetes
is feminine gender, and not masculine as indicated in the original description and other included species.
