TYPE SPECIES. — Montlivaltia confluens Münster, 1841 by subsequent designation of Diener (1921) . In assumed infraction with the international code of zoological nomenclature, Cuif (1975) invoked in consistence with usage that preference should be accorded to M. zieteni and he designated a “ type specimen” (no. 4462). Despite of this unsatisfactory nomenclatural situation, and as a necessity, we rely on the descriptions of Cuif (1975) for the genus Margarosmilia .
