Helfer (BME). BME records indicate that L. Smith was describing two species from the Lava Beds National Monument cave region: Haplocampa “Helfer’s Cave Dipluran” and Haplocampa “Roth’s Cave Dipluran.” Helfer’s Cave Dipluran appeared to be more widespread, and may be the same taxon that Ferguson (1992) reported to be common and endemic to the Lava Beds National Monument area: Haplocampa “Lava Beds N.M.”
