Genus
Heliophanoides

Heliophanoides

;
type
species:
Heliophanoides epigynalis
Prószyński, 1992
, by original designation.
Remarks.
Heliophanoides
has not been formally assigned to any tribe within Salticinae Blackwall, 1841, and
Maddison (2015)
suggested that it could be a hasariine. However, both morphological characteristics (the presence of a tegular bump in the species of
Heliophanoides
;
Wang
et al.
2023
) and our preliminary molecular phylogenetic results (based on ultra-conserved element data) suggest that this genus is more likely a member of the tribe
Chrysillini
.
