( Fig. 3 , 13 a, 13b, 19) Diagnosis. This species is similar to E. capronata , but E. chiribogana can be distinguished by the slender basal half of the uncus; the longer, broader basal lobe of the distal portion of the gnathos arms; and the much broader, shorter aedeagus. Description. Wing span ca. 21 mm . Head brown; labial palpus brown, ca. 3.5 times horizontal diameter of compound eye. Thorax brown. Forewing distinctly expanded terminally; costa weakly convex; termen sinuate. Ground colour pale brownish finely strigulated with brown; markings ill-defined, in form of brown suffusions, in posterior part of wing finely edged whitish. Cilia concolorous with wing. Hindwing pale ochreous cream, with grey strigulation. Cilia cream. FIGURES 18–21. Uncus slender to beyond middle, broad terminally; lobe of terminal part of gnathos arms large, tapering in distal half; basal half of sacculus short, terminal lobe rather slender; aedeagus short, broad beyond zone, then tapered terminally. Female genitalia ( Fig. 19 ). Sterigma small, weakly sclerotized proximally; antrum sclerite fused with long sclerite of ductus bursae; membranous part of the ductus bursae short, curved; corpus bursae large. Holotype male: “ Ecuador , Prov. Pichincha, Chiriboga, West Cordillera, 5.02.2005, 3100 m , leg. J. Wojtusiak”, GS 536 (MZUJ). Paratypes : 1 female : same data as holotype , GS 576 (MZUJ).
