The genus
Encolapta
Meyrick, 1913
is superficially similar to
Hypatima
Hübner [1825]
, but it can be separated by the abdominal tergite VIII with a simple sclerotized, banded or semi-elliptical plate and the valvella without apical thorn in male. The genus comprises 17 species, mostly distributed in Asia (
Yang & Li 2016
). In
