Gredzinskiya spinalis sp. nov. ( Figs 1 i–l, 5) Description. Coloration ( Figs 1 i–l) similar to G. serrata sp. nov. , patches on vertex relatively small. Male anteclypeus extremely broad. Male 2S abdominal apodemes (Fig. 5b) reaching hind margin of third sternite. Pygofer side (Fig. 5c) with numerous macrosetae at lower basal angle and with about 5 microsetae along hind margin. Subgenital plate (Fig. 5f) with about 4 macrosetae in irregular row, lateral margin with reduced microsetae arranged in one row, subapical ones shorter. Style (Fig. 5g ) narrow, subapical tooth very short, perpendicular to apical tooth. Connective (Fig. 5h) with manubrium narrowing towards tip, central lobe narrow. Aedeagal shaft (Figs 5i , j) slightly curved dorsad apically, narrowing apically, dorsal margin smooth with dorsal spine near base, apical part expanded laterally, ventral surface with single distal spine near apex on right and single preapical spine on left. Measurement. Male length 4.1mm . Material examined. Holotype : ♂, THAILAND , Chiang Mai, Doi Chiangdao, NP Water reservoir, 19°24.419'N , 98°55.237'E , 549m , Malaise trap, 7–14. viii. 2007 , coll. S. Jugsu & A. Watwanich. Deposition. QSBG , Chiang Mai, Thailand . Diagnosis. Similar to G. serrata sp. nov. , but apex of style smaller, central lobe of connective narrower, aedeagal shaft with distinct spine on dorsal margin, ventral surface with single process near apex and another single one more basad. Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ spinalis ”, meaning spiny, referring to the dorsal spine of the aedeagal shaft. FIGURE 4.
