The China Journal. 10:89. Type locality: Zhejiang, Hangzhou. Neoperla flavescens Chu, 1929 . Wu, 1938 : 110 . Diagnosis. Males of this species are characterized by a concave area formed between the elevated sides of the posterior process of tergum 7 in which the recurved triangular process of tergum 8 rests ( Figs. 2, 3 ). The aedeagus is heavily sclerotized and has a finger-shaped subapical projection with an abruptly constricted tip ( Figs. 4, 5 ). Females of this species are characterized by sternum 7 having a dark medial sclerite on the produced subgenital plate (Fig. 106 in Wu 1938 ). Remarks. Our specimen agrees well with descriptions by Wu (1938) and Chu (1929) . In particular, features of the aedeagus illustrated by Wu (1938) reliably identify our fresh material.
