). To date it contains 20 species (14 from the Old World and six from North and Central America), divided into two species groups: the
D. dispar
group with a single South African species and the
D. substriatus
group with three subgroups: the
D. analis
subgroup (four Palaearctic species), the
D. verticalis
subgroup (three Indian and a single West African species) and the
D. substriatus
subgroup (East Palaearctic and a single West Palaearctic species).
