After the original description (Stål 1 859) and redescription ( Stål 1865 ), Malipatil & Blackett (2013) provided an accurate generic description based on this species in their revision on Australian fauna. Hereby the authors only would like to record distribution data and to add comments to this description based on their own observations. COLOURATION: Basically sordid ochraceous insects with fuscous punctuation on thoracic segments and hemelytra. Head with fuscous median line on vertex and clypeus. Base of head and posterior part of ocular sulcus brownish. One distinct brown spot at each humeral angles. Sometimes apical margin of corium narrowly reddish. Thoracic dorsum brownish with irregular ochraceous band medially. STRUCTURE: Femora with sparse fuscous slightly elevated spots; antennal segment I with smaller similar spots. Punctuation of clavus in one row following the posterior edge, “breaking” at 2/3 of length, looking like two separate incomplete rows. Anterior edge of clavus only punctate close to humeral angles. DISTRIBUTION: This species was described from Mauritius by Stål (1859) . During our research on the material of BMNH a specimen from the island of Reunion was recorded, new distribution data was added.
