COMMENTS: Includes inflatus and nwntanus; see Yates and Schmidly (1977) . Yates and Schmidly (1978 , Mammalian Species, 105) listed sixteen subspecies. Gureev (1979:254) listed aereus and inflatus as distinct species without comment. Hall (1981:72) included aereus and inflatus in aquaticus .
