can be distinguished from similar species by the stolons

long, stems densely white multicellular hairs, leaves 4, leaf blade and calyx with indistinctly reddish glandular punctation, short pedicels, corolla lobes without glandular and ovary glabrous.

:—This species is currently known only from the
type
locality with two collections, and a total of approximately 500 individuals has been found. There is no more information about its conservation status. Based on current information to date, we propose to classify
L. xuyongensis
into the ‘Data Deficient’ (DD) category of IUCN (2019).
