Note:—The fossil-species
Cinnamomum macropodum
Miki (1971: 234
, 246),
nom. inval
., was not validly published due the lack of
holotype
designation (
McNeill
et al
., 2012
: Art. 40.1). Miki included leaves and fruits with seeds in his broad circumscription of the fossil-species. A new name is proposed for the distinctive fossil fruits with seeds (excluding doubtful leaves not found in organic connection with fruits/seeds).
