Chani-Posse de Maus 2008 ” ( MACN ); the female individual with additional labels: “ Philonthus aluticollis Bernh. ” (in Bernhauer handwriting), “Cotypus” (green label). Notes. There is no reference about the male or the number of specimens examined in the original description by Bernhauer (1921) . All the three specimens here studied agree with the original description. Of them, the female individual from the FMNH is here designated as the lectotype because of its better condition.
