No diagnostic characteristics were provided in Wolda (1989) nor Wolda & Ramos (1992) for this species combined with the inability to locate any specimens labeled as this species means there is no mechanism to distinguish the species. This is a rainy season cicada with emergence between mid-June to late August ( Wolda 1989 ). Distribution. The species has been reported from Barro Colorado Island, Panama Canal Zone, 120 m altitude in lowland forest ( Wolda 1989 ; Wolda & Ramos 1992 ) in Panama .
