Figs 8H , 22‒23 Type material. Male holotype ( INPA 4798) from Reserva Florestal Adolpho Ducke [ 2.98°S , 59.93W ], Manaus, Amazonas , Brazil , 16.II.1992 , H. Höfer & T. Gasnier leg. One female paratype ( INPA 4800) with the same data of the holotype , but 16.III.1992 . Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of the German arachnologist Heiko Metzner, who first labelled the type specimens as a new species. Diagnosis. Males are similar to those of Ta. huao sp. nov. by the long cymbial dorsal depression, but differ from those by the smaller RTA ( Fig. 23C ). Females differ from all the other species of the genus in having small copulatory openings ( Fig. 23D ). Description. Male ( holotype ). Total length: 3.34. Carapace 1.57 long, 1.04 wide, 0.65 high. Ocular quadrangle 1.00 long. Anterior eye row 0.96 wide and posterior 0.92 wide. Chelicera paturon with two promarginal teeth, the distal one tricuspid, and two retromarginal teeth, the proximal one bicuspid and curved. Length of femur: I 1.06, II 0.69, III 0.67, IV 0.84; patella + tibia: I 1.69, II 0.96, III 0.84, IV 1.13; metatarsus + tarsus: I 1.15, II 0.79, III 0.84, IV 0.96. Leg formula: 1423. Leg spination: femur I d1-1-1, p1di, r0; II d1-1-1, p1di, r0; III d1-1-1, p1di, r1di; IV d1-1-1, p1di, r1di; patella I‒IV 0; tibia I p0, r0, v2 -0-2a-2a; II p0, r0, v1 r-2a-2a ( v1 r-1r-2a right); III p0-0- 1 (p0-1-1 right), r0-1-0, v2 di; IV p0-0-1 (p0 right), r0-1-0, v2 di; metatarsus I‒II v2-2 ; III p2di, r2di, v1 p-1r-0 ( v1 p- 1r-2 right); IV p2di, r2di, v1 p-2di. Palp ( Figs 23A‒23C ): Tibia wider than long; RTA small, triangular; embolus extremely thin and long (720° = 2T); both palps are expanded, but from the cymbial groove, it is possible that the embolus curls retrodorsally over the cymbium ( Fig. 23C ). Color in alcohol: As in Ta. agatelin sp. nov. Female. Total length: 3.15. Carapace 1.42 long, 0.88 wide, 0.54 high. Ocular quadrangle 0.88 long. Anterior eye row 0.88 wide and posterior 0.84 wide. Chelicera paturon with two promarginal teeth, the distal one tricuspid, and four curved retromarginal teeth, all of them curved. Length of femur: I 0.71, II 0.56, III 0.58, IV 0.75; patella + tibia: I 1.00, II 0.71, III 0.69, IV 0.98; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.71, II 0.56, III 0.67, IV 0.81. Leg formula: 4132. Leg spination: femur I‒IV d1-1-1, p0, r0; patella I‒IV 0; tibia I p0, r0, v2-2 a-2a; II p0, r0, v1 r-1r-0; III‒IV 0; metatarsus I‒II v2-2 ; III‒IV p2di, r1di, v0. Epigyne ( Figs 23D‒23E ): posterior edge slightly bilobed, copulatory openings medially placed. Color in alcohol: carapace and abdomen as in male, venter of abdomen lighter. Legs as in male, with the same color pattern on metatarsus I ( Fig. 22 ). Distribution. Only known from Reserva Florestal Adolpho Ducke, Brazil .
