Throughout the Oriental region to Japan , New Guinea , Australia and Pacific islands; tropical Africa. Biology. A polyphagous species recorded from a very wide range of host trees (e.g. Beeson, 1961 ; Browne 1961 ; Schedl 1963 ; Wood & Bright 1992 ).
