Distribution. India : Uttarakhand , Maharashtra , Karnataka ( Fig. 36 ). Remark. Das and Girish Kumar (2015) recorded this species from India ( Maharashtra , Karnataka ) as Odontomutilla speciosa ( Smith, 1855 ) which was described from Hong Kong ( China ). Mickel (1933) studied the holotype of Odontomutilla speciosa and provided the differences with the related O. chrysococcina (Sichel et Radoszkowski, 1869) from Iran . After the re-examination of Indian material we consider that the records from Das & Girish Kumar (2015) was a misidentified O. spectra ( Bingham, 1908 ) described from India ( Uttarakhand ). Therefore we excluded O. speciosa ( Smith, 1855 ) from the list of Indian subcontinent fauna.
