Limnocassis pumilio is the most widely distributed species of this genus, the only with distribution range in South Africa beyond the Western and Eastern Cape provinces including Kwazulu-Natal, Free State, North-West and Limpopo Provinces ( Fig. 14 ). It is also the only species with a single locality in Zimbabwe ( Borowiec 2002 ).
