described this species based on two females from
Brazil
. The
lectotype
was designated by
Vivallo (2019)
and it bears the following data label: Brasilia [printed]\ [light greenish square] 74. [handwritten]\ [black-rimmed] 669. 235 [handwritten]\

n. sp.

[handwritten] det. Friese, 1898 [printed] (
HNHM
). According to the accession book at
HNHM
that specimen was obtained as exchange materials and gifts by the Hungarian hymenopterist Sándor Mocsáry (1841–1915) during a trip to
Germany
in 1883 (
Vivallo 2019
). The depository and the current condition of the
paralectotype
are unknown.
