Length: 7.1mm – 19.4mm ( 80 specimens ). Head: Black, densely and finely punctate. Antennae: Black; almost reaching base of pronotum when laid alongside. Pronotum: Dark brown to black, lateral margins and base reddish; anterior half parallel, only slightly broader in middle, constricted posteriorly; surface anterior to transverse depression finely and diffusely punctate, coarsely and irregularly wrinkled behind transverse depression; disc with two patches of white to yellowish hairs; length:width ratio 1.49:1. Scutellum: Dark red-brown to black. Elytra: Basal third to half reddish brown, remainder black with white transverse fasciae beyond middle spanning from lateral to sutural margins (not always reaching the suture); disc regularly punctate (punctures often elongate), at shoulders diameter of punctures smaller than interstices, behind shoulders more or less equal, sometimes slightly larger, punctures within fasciae small and sparsely distributed, diameter of punctures strongly variable behind fasciae (punctures mostly elongate); length:width ratio 2.51:1. Legs: Dark brown to black. Lower surface: Head and thorax red-brown, abdomen black. Vestiture: With whitish to yellowish hairs, pronotal margins vested with white, disc with reddish hairs, elytra with white hairs, with isolated shorter black hairs.
