Ecology: Rare and probably overlooked, known from one collection in Bolivia : Williams 2657 ( NY ) ; terrestrial in semihumid to dry forests; 1800 m . Notes: —Most similar to Selaginella minima , differing by the greenish leaf and sporophyll margins ( vs . hyaline), by lacking stomata on the adaxial leaf surfaces ( vs . stomata usually present), and by yellow megaspores (vs. whitish).
