The male of T. magaspangus can be distinguished from congeners, particularly T. eminulus Tang & Li, 2010 , by the blunt patellar apophysis, the groove-shaped RTA with the downward ramus sharp, pointing dorsally ( vs. RTA pointing ventrally in T. eminulus ; Tang & Li 2010 : fig. 51), and the embolic tip with an apophysis ( vs. embolus thick and spinous in T. eminulus ; Tang & Li 2010 : fig. 51).
