Diagnosis.
Body small to medium-sized; terminal flagellomere often acute or with a short spine apically; median flagellomeres longer than wide; scapus robust, truncate apically or nearly so, dorsally as long as ventrally or weakly longer; eye setose, weakly emarginate; face weakly granulate or rugose, often densely setose; clypeus moderately narrow and without dorsal carina; malar suture moderately developed; labio-maxillary complex normal, not elongate; frons shallowly impressed medially, with a deep median groove; mesosoma usually largely densely setose; notauli often relatively deeply impressed and complete; scutellar sulcus comparatively narrow and crenulate; propodeum largely smooth, without medio-longitudinal carina; metapleural flange present; angle between veins 1-SR and C+SC+R of fore wing more than 55°; fore wing vein 1-SR linear with vein 1-M; vein 1-SR+M of fore wing often more or less straight; second submarginal cell of fore wing parallel-sided; hind wing vein 1r-m usually shorter than vein SC+R1; claws with poorly developed basal lobe; median area of first metasomal tergite wide, and distinctly elevated posteriorly, lateral areas of first tergite reduced or narrow, and dorsal carinae absent; medio-basal area of second metasomal tergite often very small, and oblique lateral grooves present; third and fourth tergites often with antero-lateral areas; posterior margin of fifth tergite usually narrowly emarginated medially; ovipositor usually relatively robust, subapically upper valve without nodus, and its lower valve without tooth ventrally; ovipositor sheath relatively short, usually shorter than body.
