Discussion.
This minute, very rare New World species was originally described from
three females
, the
holotype
and
paratype
from Liberty Co., Florida and a female
paratype
from Imperial Co., California (
Wirth and Blanton 1970
).
Wilkening et al. (1985)
added another Florida record from Marion Co., and we provide the first records from Highlands Co. Inexplicably,
Borkent and Grogan (2009)
did not include California in their distribution section of this species, but they also included
Costa Rica
based on recently collected specimens in the INBio collection in
San Jose
,
Costa Rica
.
