.
Now
:
Myrmecocichla arnotti leucolaema
(G.A. Fischer & Reichenow, 1880)
.

Deignan et al. (1964: 117)
.
Holotype
(missing):
one specimen
collected in “Nguru-Berge” (
Nguru Mountains
).
Type locality
: “
Nguru-Berge” [
Nguru Mts
,
Morogoro Region
,
Tanzania
], from the original description as well as locality of the
holotype
.
Remarks
: In the original description no
type
was chosen, and there were no inventory numbers for specimens provided, but measurements for
one specimen
and the locality “Nguru-Berge” (Nguru Mountains.) were given. The whereabouts of this specimen are unknown. It was probably collected for Fischer, as it was cited by him (Fischer 1885: 142), but it was never integrated into the ZMB and ZMH collections. A different specimen, ZMB 27325 [collected by Böhm from Yangzeange (in Usagara) in 1880], is incorrectly labelled as a
type
for this species, although it does match the morphological characteristics in the description.
