Vidal, Go & Freitag (ADM2d)M". Distribution. Hydraena palawanensis is known from Palawan and Mindoro. It is hereby recorded from Luzon for the first time. Ecology. This comparatively widely distributed Philippine species occurs in calm zones of undisturbed and moderately disturbed lotic waters. This might indicate a rather high ecological potency. Highest abundances are usually found in the littoral gravel or in residual pools of lowland creeks.
