Distribution.
Moroccan endemism, recently described by
Kment
et al
. (2016)
. This species is a new record for the study area. This species could have been previously confused with
Hebrus pusillus
(Fallén 1807)
. During the sampling period,
H. atlas
was found at upper Moulouya and Melloulou rivers, corresponding to the eastern Middle Atlas, and at Jbel El Himmer Mount (
Fig. 2
).
