( Fig. 1 ). Type of genus: Zelus femoratus Fabricius 1803 , p. 291. Description.­ Postocular region rounded. Eyes not passing inferior or superior edge of head. Each ocellus on a tubercle. Labrum brown to dark brown. Rostrum curved. Neck long, light brown. Pronotum with anterolateral angles developed, depressed posteriorly in lateral view. Meso­ and metapleura with short sparse setae. Scutellum smooth with two spines. Fore legs predatory, coxae very long (more than 3 times longer than wide), with sparse thin long setae, trochanters with a ventral spine, femur with two rows of brown spines ventrally, claws asymmetrical. Hemelytra not passing posterior edge of abdomen, chorion and clavus glabrous.
