Mamami 27487 ( Santa Cruz , Cordillera , c. 20 km de Abapó en el camino a Charagua pasando el Tocovo, 19°04´S , 63°17´W , 570m , LPB, K, USZ) clearly belongs to series Farinosae , and is close to Mimosa detinens , this specimen is unarmed, has peduncles as long as the petiole of associated leaf, and pubescent fruits, a combination of characters that suggest it could represent a distinct species. Further collections are needed.
