This species was recorded from Saudi Arabia by Dawah & Abdullah (2006) . It was described from Ethiopia and further recorded from Cameroun , Mozambique , Nigeria , Rwanda , Senegal , South Africa , Uganda and Yemen ( Sabrosky 1980 ; Deeming & Al-Dhafer 2012 ). Biology. Species of Elachiptereicus are primary attackers of shoots of grasses.
