Remarks.
This taxon is regarded as a questionable variety of
Bulimulus corneous
(Sowerby I, 1833) by
Martens (1893 [1890-1901]
: 247) and
Pilsbry (1897 [1897-1898]
: 56. The exact type locality remains unknown. For the current systematic position we prefer, therefore, to follow
Richardson (1995
: 68) who treated
Pfeiffer's
taxon as a subjective junior synonym of
Sowerby's
species.
