Comment
Scopogonalia echinura
had been previously recorded from
Santa Elena
de Uairén in south
Venezuela
(
Young 1977
) and from
Vichada department
in east
Colombia
(
Freytag and Sharkey 2002
), being here newly recorded from central and northeast
Brazil
. The original description (
Young 1977
, fig. 439f) does not mention the pair of tiny dorsolateral dentiform processes at the apex of the aedeagus observed in our studied specimens (
Figure 5
).
