Regional distribution.
ThiS wideSpread and conchologically Variable Euro-Siberian SpecieS of lymnaeid SnailS proVed to be more or leSS common in Mongolia. We found ShellS of
Radix balthica
in SampleS collected in VariouS waterbodieS of WeStern and Northern Mongolia.
Lymnaea ovata

recorded by SitnikoVa

. (2006) from the HöVSgöl Lake Should, moSt probably, be identified with
R. balthica
.

R. balthica
, and no SubStantial differenceS in the reproductiVe SyStem among them haVe been reported (
KrugloV 2005
).
