Schizas during the UPRM-DMS Mesophotic Cruise. Diagnosis . Carapace in female with hairy integument, uropodal peduncle 1.29 times pleonite 6 length, 4 medial setae on peduncle, endopod with 2 medial setae. Male uropodal peduncle 1.2 times pleonite 6 length, 5 medial setae on peduncle and on endopod. Remarks This species was earlier described from Bermuda (Băcescu, 1992; Petrescu & Sterrer, 2001 ). This is the first record of this species from Puerto Rico. Distribution . Bermuda (Băcescu, 1992; Petrescu & Sterrer, 2001 ), Puerto Rico (present record). Depth range: 0– 70 m .
