Japan ( Kosuge 1961b ; Kosuge 1962b ; Habe 1964 ; Higo et al. 2001 ). Remarks. The original description of V. kanamarui by Oyama (MS) has not been found. The earliest trace of this name is in Kosuge (1961b) who then acquires authorship of Oyama’s manuscript name. Marshall (1983) considered Viriola kanamarui a junior synonym of Triphoris ( Ino ) elegans Hinds, 1843 .
