(2005: 629) ; as Pempheris vanicolensis by Carpentieri et al. (2009: 3) ; as Pempheris rhomboidea by Bariche et al. (2015: 2366) ; as Pempheris rhomboidea by Fanelli et al. (2015: 2169) .
