FAMILY: TABANIDAE . REMARKS: There are two original spellings of this genus-group name in Rondani (1863) : Diatomineura (page 84) and Diatomyneura (page 94). Acting as First Reviser , we select Diatomineura as the correct original spelling, which relegates Diatomyneura ( q . v .) to unavailable name status. Two names attributed to Macquart (“ Albicostata ” and “ Ruficornis ”) were originally included, but neither name has ever been made available and are nomina nuda .
