Description.
Male. Body (

H) oval, slightly convex dorsally, shiny, closely covered with silver setae. Coloration of head, scutellar shield, elytra, meso- and metaventrites, abdomen and hind femur blackish-brown; pronotum reddish-brown (

); antennae, mouthparts, legs (except for hind femur) yellowish-brown.
Head moderate in size, almost flat dorsally, front margin of clypeus concave. Eyes large, prominent; the distance between eyes about 1.5 times as long as the maximum diameter of an eye. Pronotum finely punctate, depressed in lateral parts; anterior margin straight; lateral and posterior margins gently arcuate; antero- and postero-lateral corners obtuse; PW/PL 2.29–2.43 (2.36). Scutellar shield relatively small, finely punctate, equilaterally triangular. Elytra oblong-oval, widest at the middle, densely punctate; humeral parts slightly projecting dorsally; apices right-angled; EL/EW 1.29–1.45 (1.37); EL/PL 4.43–4.60 (4.51); EW/PW 1.30–1.50 (1.40); TL/EW 1.58–1.77 (1.68).

This species is related to
Ypsiloncyphon kedahensis
sp. n.
and
Y. chiangmaiensis
sp. n.
judging from the tergite VIII having large lateral lobes and the penis with trigonium indistinct, and differs from them by the shapes of tergite VIII and penis.
