Shell attached to substratum by loose, irregular basal whorls and give rise to an off-substrata apertural opening. Type locality ‘‘in Oceano?Indico’’. Distribution Indo Pacific. Attached to current-scoured hard substrata. Eastern Hong Kong ( Hughes 1985 ).
