Glossostoma nematoideum Diesing 1862: 573 (mentioned only). — Lang 1884: 611 (mentioned only). — Faubel 1984b: 236 (identification keys). Distribution Isthmus of Panama . Habitat Benthic. Remarks LeConte (1851) , Lang (1884) , and Faubel (1984b) included the species within Polycladida ; however, Faubel (1984b) determined it as a species incertae sedis. The taxon is characterized by a vermiform body, ten eyes on both sides of the anterior region of the body, and small tentacles. Given this sparse description, the present study suggests collecting specimens of this taxon and to confirm its taxonomic identity.
