Pedicels up 13 mm long, covered with whitish scales. Lateral sepals 2, 1.5 × 0.5 mm . Lower sepal 4 × 2 mm , with darker relief forming bars and translucid windows. Dorsal petal hood-like, 5 × 2.5 mm , with hairs on dorsal crest. Lateral united petals 6 mm long, upper petal 1.5 × 0.5 mm , lower petal 4 × 2 mm , with tuberculous crest on inner margin. Anthers 2 mm long. Ovary 1.5-2 mm long. Fruit unknown. — Fig. 15. HABITAT.— Montane rain forest, at 1850 m . DISTRIBUTION.— Madagascar , only known from the type collection . Impatiens pilosissima differs from all Madagascan species of subg.
